Auto FAQs

Q. What are the advantages to using an agent to purchase insurance?

A: Insurance agents provide personalized service. We are here to help you choose insurance plans and policies that fit your specific needs. We research and compare the options for you, and we explain your policies and answer your questions. We are your voice and advocate if you have claim or billing issues. The best part is we work for you, not the insurance companies, so our services are always free to you!

Q. What factors affect the cost of my auto insurance?

A: Many factors affect the cost of your auto insurance including your driving record, the type of vehicle you drive, where your vehicle is garaged, how your vehicle is used, and your marital status.

Q. I have an older vehicle that currently has a very low market value. Do I really need to purchase auto insurance?.

A: California has insurance laws that require drivers to carry a minimum amount of automobile liability insurance. These laws were enacted to ensure that automobile accident victims receive compensation for losses caused by the actions of another individual who was negligent.

Q. What’s the difference between Collision Coverage and Comprehensive Coverage?

A: Collision Coverage is defined as losses you incur when your vehicle collides with another vehicle or object. For example, if you hit another vehicle in a parking lot the damages to your car will be paid under your Collision Coverage (subject to your deductible). Comprehensive Coverage provides coverage for most other-than-collision physical damage losses such as fire, theft, and vandalism.
